The Difference of The Hope Gallery

The Hope Gallery expanded to Newburgh, Indiana in 2021, when founders Jennifer and Andrew Parker relocated here with their son Alex, an adult on the autism spectrum. Their goal was simple: find an existing space for Alex to find meaning. Once again, the search ended up empty. Soon, Alex and his new friends were gathered around his family’s dining room, learning the same skills they taught others at our first Hope Gallery location.
Our storefront opened in the summer of 2022 where we’ve served over 150 adults with disabilities in the Tri-State area. Team Members take pride in running all aspects of the boutique – cashiering, customer service, inventory, and even making product!
Team Members learn the art of mosaic tiling - where they proudly smash tile, determine how to place tile into various styles, and grout mosaics. Team Members learn weaving where they make beautiful rugs, pillows, and placemats. Team Members also learn sewing, engraving, and jewelry making, among many other skills.
All of the products you will find in our gallery are made by individuals with disabilities. We are proud to showcase talents of individuals near and far - our Team Members running the storefront while making products and selling products from other artists.

Vocational Training and Job Skill Development
We have dedicated staff and volunteers ensuring our Team Members learn a variety of skills. We believe in the importance of giving each individual a chance to try something new, while modifying instruction or technique as needed. Our Team Members practice counting money and using the cash register daily. We are always looking for new skills to teach and products to make. If you are interested in volunteering with us, we would love to have you join our team!
